Collectively we are 35% of our way to purchasing our first forest to Regenerate NZ 🌳🎉
Jonny and I have a hunch we are actually closer towards our goal than we think.
In its simplest form all we need to do between now and Christmas is to….
Increase number of backers contributing to their wallet from 35 per week to 100 by October 2022

If we hit this we believe we can purchase a forest before Christmas this year 🎄
Here is a simple chart showing weekly contributions and what it will take for us to hit our $100k target.
As you can see our average weekly top-up since launch has been approximately $850 per week.
If we increase weekly contributions to $2,000 per week we will drastically decrease our time to purchase our first forest.
What insights is this based on? Running some back of the envelope maths we have found out that….
The average wallet contribution per week is $23.90
The maximum weekly wallet contribution per week have been $100 (there’s more than one!)
The minimum weekly contributions per week have been $10 per week
To lift from $850 per week to $2,000 per week ($100k target) at current averages it looks like we actually only need 48 more weekly contributors…
We believe that hitting a $100k recurring contribution will give us ample serviceability to purchase a $1m forest for Regeneration.
Last week we had our first ever withdrawal (dip in the chart) due to a change in a backers financial situation of which we happily withdrew his funds. Other than that, everyones commitments have been pretty consistent if we do say so!
So what options do we have to get us towards this one thing….
Support our initial 200+ backers to get into topping up their wallets on a regular cadence, even the smallest contributions make a big difference!
Find more likeminded humans just like ourselves to join our mission and start contributing to Regenerate NZ.
So what are we focusing on here in the next 3 months at Regenerate NZ HQ?
Find or enable the next 65 people to catch the Regenerate NZ bug for purchasing a forest that has a vision to Regenerate the land we stand on.
Find more suitable forest options to purchase as we get closer to our goal (more to come here in future updates)
We are dedicated to hitting that goal of our very first Regenerate NZ forest by Christmas. To achieve this, we now know that we need to hit $100k in annual recurring commitment. This provides certainty needed to purchase a million dollar forest that we can successively Regenerate over the next 100 years.
